Is this mindfulness?
Maybe for some this is what mindfulness is all about but it doesn't have to look like this.
For me, it's about being fully present in the moment-- focusing on my thoughts, feelings and behaviours right NOW, rather than ruminating about the past or anticipating the future. Being present to and aware of what I'm thinking and feeling helps me be more responsive and less reactive to pretty much everything-- even those nasty little triggers that can set me off! So no need to sit silently on a mat with your legs crossed and eyes closed. No need to sing Kumbaya holding hands in a small circle.
Just open up and listen to yourself and get curious about what you hear!
